I am writing to you to inform you that we have received crime reports through the MET ENGAGE platform.

I wish to inform you that MET ENGAGE is not a crime reporting platform. Rather, MET ENGAGE is a free messaging service that keeps you connected to what’s happening in your area. Whether its crime updates, safety advice, or news from your local policing team, you’ll get the information that matters to you — when it matters most. Furthermore, when it is appropriate this platform aims to alert you about the following:

advice to help keep you, your family and your community safe

local crime, incidents and appeal.

news from your local police officers

warnings about scams and frauds

invitations to community meetings and events

chances to share concerns (not reporting crime).

Please use the appropriate platforms to report crime for best practice. The following platforms can be use to report any offences/ crimes:

Call 999 in emergency situations.

Call 101 in non-emergency situations.
