There have been repeated reports of suspected scam activity in the E4 area involving an individual wearing a high-visibility jacket who is requesting payments from members of the public.
It is believed the suspect is using the Sainsbury’s car park on Hall Lane as a location to request or collect these “payments”. The suspect has been described consistently as wearing a high-visibility jacket and is reportedly approaching members of the public after identifying alleged parking offences, using this as a tactic to request money. There have also been reports from Richmond Road in the Co-op car park. The repeated nature of these incidents suggests this may be part of a targeted or organised scam.
