Officers recovered 4 stolen vehicles

Dear resident, 

On Wednesday 17 June, officers recovered 4 stolen vehicles.

We would like to say thank you to our community and residents for contacting police and assisting us with fighting crime locally. 

A resident reported finding some number plates. Officers seized the number plates and completed enquiries into these. It was through these enquiries that officers found 2 vehicles within the local area, which were reported as stolen. 

While officers were present awaiting recovery of the 2 cars, a member of the community spoke to officers and reported seeing 2 mopeds hidden in the bushes in the play park on Rodney Way in Mawneys Ward. Officers made their way to the park where they found 2 mopeds, enquiries showed both as stolen by means of robbery from Romford area. Officers conducted a weapon sweep in the park to ensure there were no hidden weapons.
