Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team |
||
|
Hello, and welcome to your round up from the St Matthew’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, part of Walsall’s Local Policing Area (LPA). Keeping the different communities in St Matthew’s informed of some of the activities that we have done recently.
Some things that we have been doing on our patch recently:
This week has been Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action 2026 and we have been looking at vital work carried out every day by our neighbourhood team, volunteers and community partners who help keep our communities safe.
A key focus of our neighbourhood teams is to identify and solve problems early and on 15/06/26 officers from Team 1 and Team 3 assisted Green Square Accord in an eviction where is was causing ongoing anti social behaviour and drug use,
A number of speed watches have been conducted on Mellish Road, Highgate Road and Birmingham Road.
During the last week your local neighbourhood have conducted six community engagements which included giving crime prevention advice and giving out a few basic preventative items. Officers have also conducted foot patrols and vehicle patrols and a number of arrests have been made.
Officers have also attended the Big Lunch event at Walsall college. The event was to recognise volunteers in the community. People that use their time, enthusiasm and effort to make their communities a better place to live.
Multiple stop searches have been conducted this week. Also various positive outcomes and drugs have been seized.
Going forward: We are committed to continue meeting with the various communities in St Matthew’s as part of proactive working. We know there are a lot of different community groups within St Matthew’s, if you know of any, who you think would like a visit or chat, please get in touch, it’ll be great to see and hear from you.
