King's Langley School - Police Hub

Dear Residents,

I would like to take this opportunity to share some information about the ongoing partnership between Hertfordshire Police and Kings Langley School.

PC Will Sweeting and I visit Kings Langley School each month with the aim of building stronger relationships with the young people in our community. We recognise that interactions with the police often take place at difficult or challenging times, and we are committed to changing that perception by being approachable, supportive, and present in a positive way.

During our visits, we encourage open conversations, listen to any concerns young people may have, and offer guidance and advice on issues that matter to them. Our goal is to ensure they feel heard, supported, and confident in engaging with us.

We also take this opportunity to promote the Dacorum Police Cadet Unit, which is based at the school. The cadets are open to young people aged 13 and above and are currently welcoming new members. It is a fantastic opportunity for young people to develop confidence, learn new skills, and engage with their community.
