Funding for groups tackling crime |

Local community groups and organisations are being encouraged to apply for a new round of funding to help make neighbourhoods safer.
The Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund has launched its latest round, offering a share of £350,000 to support projects that tackle crime and improve community wellbeing.
The fund uses money seized from criminals and reinvests it into initiatives that make a positive difference locally.
Funding is available for a wide range of projects, including:
Since it began, the fund has distributed £4.9 million to more than 500 projects across West Yorkshire.
Applications are now open and must be submitted by midday on 3 July 2026.
