Please review the following update regarding Anti Social Behaviour which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.
Community crime-fighting in Battersea Park Ward.
Local community policing is a huge priority for us in the Met and the bedrock of how we police London. Over the last year we have seen the results of that, with strong reductions across the city in crimes like robbery, bike theft and burglary. As your local Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), we thought it was a good opportunity to let you know the sorts of things your neighbourhood policing team will be up to this week:
• 17/06/26, Coffee with a Copper, Parker Bakery, 1200-1300 hours, 1 Ethelburga Street, SW11 4AG. A chance to speak with your local policing team. • High Visibility Foot Patrols – Doddington/Rollo, Surrey Lane, Ethelburga Estates, Battersea Park, Battersea Park Road, Queenstown Road, Battersea Bridge Road, Chelsea Wharf Estate. If you see us about on foot patrol, come and have a chat. • High Visibility Robbery, Burglary, Anti-Social Behaviour Patrols (ASB). Which are our 3 ward priorities. Battersea Park Safer Neighbourhood Team will be out looking to gain information, scout the streets and work against ASB within the ward. These are just some of the things we will be doing this week but are examples of some of the work we do every day. Your neighbourhood team is embedded in your community and works around the clock to keep you safe. The range of issues we deal with is vast, from petty theft to complex offences and violence. They operate alongside ‘Response Teams’, who are the officers who turn up in an emergency if you dial 999. Robberies, Burglaries and ASB – Are our key priorities and we are to deliver precise and collaborative community fighting through problem solving, we try to identify the origins of crime / the operative methods and work with groups like the local council, businesses and residents on creative ways to address them. Thank you for staying in touch with us on Met Engage. We are here to help you - if there are issues that you think need to be addressed, please let us know. Battersea Park SNT
Antisocial behaviour can come in many forms and can require support from more organisations than just the police. There are 13 different types of antisocial behaviour that we may be able to help with, including abandoned vehicles, littering or drugs paraphernalia and street drinking. A full list of what we categorise as antisocial behaviour is available on our website. If you have witnessed or experienced antisocial behaviour, you can report it online. If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
