Greenwich Young Citizens Project

PC Kirwan and PC Savage-Knight attended Greenwich Young Citizens Project to talk to school students transitioning to secondary school in the new academic year.  Subjects covered included Hate Crime, Reporting to Police and Safeguarding others, Violence against Women and Girls, how to be an active bystander, consequences of crime and age of criminal responsibility.

We had a fantastic response from a great group of students from six primary schools with more to come next week at a different venue.

This positive interaction is key in building strong ties within our communities and creating greater trust and transparency in policing processes.

We look forward to seeing more of our future leaders next week.
