Dear Residents,
To expand our community outreach and engagement, we will be opening our next Ward Panel meeting to all residents of Lavender Ward. The Safer Neighbourhoods Ward Panel is the voice of our community, and we want to hear yours. These meetings provide an opportunity for residents to raise local concerns, discuss community safety priorities, and work alongside the Lavender Safer Neighbourhood Team to help make our area safer. Please note that opening the meeting to all residents is a temporary measure for this meeting only. This is to encourage wider community involvement and give residents an opportunity to see how the Ward Panel works. If you would like to attend future meetings, you can apply to become a Ward Panel member.
The next Lavender Ward Panel meeting will take place Wednesday 5th August. The location of the meeting will be confirmed closer to the date, but will be in or near to the ward
At this meeting, we will also be gauging interest and taking applications for the role of Ward Panel Chair. The Chair plays an important role in supporting the panel by setting the agenda, attending meetings, and providing leadership and direction. The role should be held by a community member who lives, works, or studies predominantly within Lavender Ward.
The Chair, or a nominated deputy, is expected to attend all meetings and must be mindful of any potential conflicts of interest. If you are interested in applying to become the next Ward Panel Chair, becoming a Ward Panel member, or would simply like to attend this meeting, please let us know via Met Engage or at the meeting. We are inviting all residents of Lavender Ward to attend and take part on this occasion.
We look forward to welcoming you and hearing your views. | ||
