Your June Great Yarmouth town centre update |
||
|
As part of Neighbourhood Policing Week it seems like a good time to highlight the work Great Yarmouth town centre beat managers have been doing since our last post back in May. • A woman was located and arrested 10 minutes after officers were alerted to a theft from a store, valued at approximately £125. The goods were returned to the shop, and the woman was charged with this and three other thefts. • We assisted Trading Standards with visiting several shops in the town centre and King Street, where 40,000 illicit cigarettes were seized. • Cannabis factories have been found and dismantled. • Dedicated patrols of Regent Road and King Street have been done to speak with shop owners around the sale of alcohol, which contributes to an increase of ASB. Further patrols of this area to reduce ASB will be prioritizing over the next few weeks. • Five men have been remanded for breaching Criminal Behaviour Orders in the Town Centre. Three of which received imprisonment and one was fined. The fifth is due in court later this month. • Two E-Scooters were seized in the marketplace- please remember that privately owned Escooters cannot be ridden on public land. • Four people were arrested for failing to appear court warrants. • Two men were arrested, and three people have been given Community Resolutions for theft from shops. • Patrols of the market gates bus station patrols have been conducted with partner agencies, and we continue to work with them to address ongoing issues. • Two people were arrested after paying with counterfeit money in shops in the town. Please continue to report any issues to us, via the website reporting forms, 101, or by filling in our neighbourhood policing survey. Your information helps make a difference.
