Child and Infant First Aid with the Parish Trust Youth Service : Tue 30 Jun 11:00

Good morning all, 

A quick reminder that the Parish Trust is hosting an event on the 30th of June 2026 at 11:00 - 12:00pm at the Trethomas Life Centre. This event is a child and infant First Aid awareness course that is FREE to attend, this course is run by St Johns Ambulance. 

This session focuses on the essential first aid skills that matter most in an emergency involving your baby or child. It’s designed to be practical, reassuring, and supportive, helping parents and carers feel more confident to act when it really counts.

Parents and carers are warmly encouraged to bring babies and toddlers along. The session is deliberately informal and led by Darcey, a St John Ambulance first aid trainer and parent, so real life is fully expected. Feeding, changing, wriggling, and crying babies are all welcome.

There will be plenty of opportunity to practise child and infant CPR and how to resolve choking, as well as time to ask questions and talk through worries or “what if” situations. The session offers a safe, non judgemental space to voice anxieties, build confidence through hands on practice, and leave feeling more capable and reassured. E-certificates will be provided for all participants.
