HEDON INCIDENT: Teenager charged

A teenager has been charged with multiple offences after we were called to an incident at a park on Drapers Lane in Hedon at around 8.30pm on Friday, 12 June 2026.

A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to his age, has been charged with non-fatal strangulation, robbery, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and has been remanded into custody.

It is believed a teenage boy approached another teenage boy, thought to be known to him, before assaulting him and attempting to steal his motorbike.

We are aware of a video circulating online; we would urge people to please not share it further and refrain from speculating whilst there is an active investigation ongoing.
