I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

From King’s Cross, we want to reaffirm our strong commitment to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls and to reassure our community that this remains a key priority for us. We are actively working with partners, local venues, and community groups to put practical measures in place that improve safety, provide visible support, and create safe spaces for women and girls, particularly during busy periods and high‑risk times. Through proactive engagement, safeguarding initiatives, and targeted problem‑solving, we aim to prevent harm, build confidence, and ensure that anyone who feels vulnerable knows where to turn for help and support.

 We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years.
