Police Advice to Residents – Lees Area, Oldham

We have received reports of four males seen in the Lees area at approximately 2300 hours, acting suspiciously and looking into parked vehicles Last night.

Previous crime reports and CCTV footage from the area show individuals attempting car doors to check if they are unlocked. This type of opportunistic offending can lead to theft of property from within vehicles.

✅ How to Reduce Your Risk:

Always lock your vehicle, even if parked outside your home.

Do not leave valuables on display (e.g. bags, phones, tools).

Ensure windows and sunroofs are fully closed.

Consider using additional security such as steering locks or alarms where appropriate.

Report any suspicious activity to police.
