Dear Residents and Local Businesses, This is your weekly update from St Michael's Team 1 This week, the Neighbourhood Policing Team has continued to work proactively across the area to engage with the community, tackle crime, and provide reassurance to residents.
Community Engagement
Officers and PCSOs carried out several community engagement activities throughout the week, speaking with residents, local businesses, and partner agencies. These conversations help us understand local concerns, gather community intelligence, and provide crime prevention advice.
Bike Marking Event in partnership with Coventry City Council and Dr. Bike
The team attended a bike marking event aimed at helping protect bicycles from theft. Public were able to have their bicycles security marked and receive advice on crime prevention and secure storage. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event.
Positive Drug Seizure
Following proactive policing activity, officers conducted a search which resulted in the seizure of suspected controlled drugs. Enquiries are ongoing. We remain committed to tackling drug-related crime and the harm it causes within our communities.
Joint Patrols with the Safer Travel Team
Neighbourhood officers and PCSOs conducted joint patrols with the Safer Travel Team at key transport locations. These patrols focused on providing reassurance to the public, addressing anti-social behaviour, and engaging with commuters and transport staff.
High-Visibility Patrols
The team carried out regular high-visibility patrols across the neighbourhood, focusing on areas highlighted by residents and local intelligence. These patrols provide reassurance, deter criminal activity, and allow officers to engage directly with members of the community.
If you see us out on patrol, please stop and speak to us. Your information and feedback help us identify local issues and keep our communities safe.
