RUGELEY DRUG DEALER JAILED |
||
|
A drug dealer has been sentenced after officers saw him selling heroin on a street in Rugeley.
Douglas Cox, 56, from Rugeley, was sentenced to five-years-and-ten months in prison after admitting being concerned in the supply of heroin at Stafford Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday 9 June).
Cox was stopped and searched by officers from our major and organised crime proactive team on Tom Smith Way in Rugeley in December last year.
They found an empty Kinder Surprise container, £395 in cash, three wraps of heroin and a mobile phone.
Scales were later also seized from an address in the town.
As part of Operation Target, we are determined to crackdown on those involved in the supply of illegal drugs in Staffordshire and will do everything we can to protect our communities from harm.
