Dear residents this weeks round up from Foleshill Neighbourhood Police Team
Here is a roundup of what the Foleshill Neighbourhood team officers have been doing this week.
OUR Priorities
Our priorities are now business crime; this is an issue all over the Northeast and officers are proactively patrolling the affected areas. We have officers in plain clothes as well as in hi visibility uniform.
Officers are carrying out dedicated retail crime patrols and plain clothes operations to provide reassurance to shop keepers, deter anti-social behaviour and address concerns raised by the community. Alongside these the dedicated retail crime patrols are focusing on supporting local shops, tackling shop theft and working closely with shop staff to prevent repeat offences.
IN OTHER NEWS
This week officers from the Foleshill neighbourhood team and the priority crime team were busy causing disruption to criminal activity over the Northeast of the city.
After reports from residents of anti-social behaviour and drug dealing in the Foleshill area officers went into action. Neighbourhood officers have carried out hi visibility patrols in the targeted area. After spotting some suspicious behaviour officers approached a group. After being joined by officers from the priority crime team. Two arrests were made and a large quantity of drugs were seized. Enquiries will be ongoing.
The Foleshill neighbourhood team have been working with partnership agencies this week with meeting with social housing providers, street enforcement officers, local councillors and also the local MP. Topics included speeding and anti social behaviour. We will work together to tackle these issues
