Glossop SNT Youth Engagement
The following input/events have taken place in the Glossop and New Mills areas this week. (10th to 12th June) Inputs were completed on Anti-Social Behaviour, (ASB) and crime (making a Good Choice not a Bad Choice) with Year 6 students (ages 10-11) on Wednesday morning 10th June at Hague Bar Primary School, Lower Hague, New Mills and at St George' s C of E Primary School, Church Lane, New Mills. In the afternoon of the same day an input/assembly on 'Summer Safety' was completed with the whole School in attendance at Padfield Community School, Rhodes St, Padfield.
On the morning of Thursday 11th June PCSO Buller was at Whitfield St James' CE (VC) Primary School, Chadwick St, Glossop to complete another input on Anti-Social Behaviour, (ASB) and crime (making a Good Choice not a Bad Choice) with their Year 6 students (ages 10-11).
This was followed by our Monthly Lunch Time drop-in session for June, held at Glossopdale School & Sixth Form, Newshaw Lane, Hadfield - it was also the perfect time to advertise and promote Derbyshire Police Cadets recruitment for the Glossop Cohort- based at Arundel St, Glossop - this was alongside Cadet Leader Mrs Brenda Smith . Later on, that afternoon the team attended Kershaw Wood 'First Steps Together', Glossop, which is a Specialist school for key stage 1 & 2 to complete an input on 'Summer Safety'.
On Friday morning 12th June PCSO Buller was at St Mary's CVA Primary School, Longlands Rd, New Mills to complete a further input on Anti-Social Behaviour, (ASB) and crime (making a Good Choice not a Bad Choice) with their Year 6 students (ages 10-11). This was followed by our Monthly lunchtime drop-in session at St Philip Howard CVA Secondary School, Sunlaws St, Glossop. Later the same afternoon, he again attended Kershaw Wood 'First Steps Together' a Specialist school in Glossop specifically for key stage 1 & 2 - to complete an input on ‘Is everyone a friend’.

The team would like to thank all of the Headteachers from each the above named schools that were visited this week, for accommodating and allowing these inputs to take place, including each year 6 class Teacher and TA's who also enabled these to take place - but as always and just as importantly a thank you to all of the young people from each class 6 who engaged well, asked some very relevant questions, gave good examples and all were a credit to each of their schools.
