DRUG DEALING

Good afternoon,

I would like to provide an update following activity on Wednesday 10th June 2026. Whilst on general patrol in the New Romney and Lydd areas, alongside colleagues from the Neighbourhood Task Force and the Town Beat Team, our attention was drawn to a vehicle suspected to be linked to drug supply.

Officers stopped the vehicle in Lydd, resulting in a search under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. During the search, officers located 9 deal bags of cannabis and 10 deal bags of cocaine. The individual was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. The investigation is ongoing.
