Operation Poros has launched in Croydon Town Centre. This is a Home Office funded operation to tackle knife crime in hotspot areas. This month there have been two days of action involving an uplift in officers, other assets such as the dogs unit and targeted proactivity. So far there have been 8 arrests for a variety of offences such as drugs, robbery and drink driving. This activity will continue throughout the Summer. In addition to the days of action there has also been other activity such as night-time economy patrols and hi visibility presence. |
