📄 Community Protection Warning issued to tackle ongoing issues |
||
|
Officers have issued a Community Protection Warning (CPW) to a known male in the area following ongoing concerns relating to drug use and associated paraphernalia. 🚫💊 The warning has been issued for a period of 6 months and is intended to address behaviour that is having a negative impact on the local community. A CPW forms the first stage of a three-step process that can ultimately lead to a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). It is designed to give the individual an opportunity to change their behaviour. If the warning is breached, the next step is a Community Protection Notice (CPN). A CPN places legal conditions on the individual — such as requirements to stop specific behaviours or avoid certain areas. Failure to comply with a CPN is a criminal offence and can lead to prosecution and further court orders, including a CBO. ⚖️ We will continue to take proactive steps to deal with drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour, ensuring the area remains safe for residents and visitors. 🚔👀 Further updates will be shared as we continue this work over the coming weeks. 📝 If you have concerns or information, please continue to report it to us — your support is vital. 🤝
