Man arrested following stabbing – Aylesbury

Hello Resident,

We have arrested a man following an isolated stabbing in Aylesbury yesterday. 

A man in his late teens suffered multiple stab wounds while being chased on Whitehall Lane and Oxford Road at around 7.10pm.

Fortunately, the victim is currently stable in hospital.

Officers arrested an 18-year-old man from Aylesbury on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, possessing a knife in public and possessing cannabis. He remains in police custody. We are not looking for anyone else at this time.

Officers have also seized a knife at the scene.

A large scene is in place on Oxford Road, which is required so we can concentrate on recovering as much evidence as possible. 

The road remains closed between the Hen and Chickens roundabout and the Buckingham Street roundabout. Drivers should find alternative routes but thank you for your patience.

Any witnesses or anyone who was on Oxford Road and/or Whitehall Lane at around 7.10pm yesterday evening should contact police.
