Upcoming Elmdon Events |
||
|
Good Afternoon,
This message is just a roundup of upcoming events across the Elmdon and wider LEOS patch area within June.
Tomorrow evening (11/6/26) we are looking to conduct a speed enforcement event on Old Lode Lane near to Tanhouse Farm Road (where it becomes 20mph). We are also looking to conduct one near to Damson Lane due to some community concerns of excess speed. We had planned to conduct this operation last set, but unfortunately there was a serious incident on Solihull Town Centre so officers were diverted away from this activity. If you see us out and about, please pop by and say hello.
Later this month, we are conducting a MARSO (Multi Agency Road Safety Operation) alongside the DVLA, Sheldon Neighbourhood Policing Team, and our traffic officers looking to combat vehicle related offending.
I am also looking to hold a community (PACT) meeting this month to catch up with residents. Further details to follow.
Due to me only recently taking over the role as Dedicated Neighbourhood Officer for Elmdon, and us recently losing our PCSO as she has moved teams, we have fallen behind on our Streetwatch activities. Today, I have attended a Streetwatch training event alongside a new PCSO to our wider team. We are looking to reactivate our Streetwatch scheme and be as productive as we possibly can. We have two groups: one covering Elmdon, and one covering more specifically Elmdon Park. The minimum hours we ask you to commit to each month is 2 hours, anything on top of this is optional. You will be joining a group of other local residents who are looking to benefit their local community. If you wish to join, please log into WMNOW and select the Streetwatch button to sign up. Once this is done, your details will be shared with our Streetwatch Lead to conduct initial checks and we can check your ID and issue you a Streetwatch jacket. I am looking to complete our next walk with the groups at the end of this month. If you have any questions prior to signing up, please get in touch.
Thank you again all for your continued support,
