|
Hello Resident,
We wanted to share an update on the development of the West Mercia Neighbourhood Watch Association and invite you to get involved.
As you may have seen from our recent communications, we are currently recruiting volunteers to help relaunch and strengthen the force-wide Association. We have already welcomed a number of enthusiastic members, but we're keen to build a larger team so we can do even more to support communities across West Mercia.
What is a Neighbourhood Watch Association?A Neighbourhood Watch Association provides support, guidance, and leadership for Neighbourhood Watch members, volunteers, and supporters across a police force area. It acts as a local voice for Neighbourhood Watch and helps coordinate activities that make communities safer, stronger, and more connected.
The Association's role includes: Why Volunteer?By joining the Association, you'll have the opportunity to: What Has Been Happening?Following our recent appeal, we've been working hard to plan the relaunch of the Association and prepare for a new chapter of activity across West Mercia.
We're also planning to hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in September, and we hope you'll be able to join us. Further details and invitations will be shared over the coming months. There's Still Time to Get InvolvedIf you're interested in learning more about volunteering with the Association, we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for people to come forward to volunteer for several positions, including Treasurer, Vice Chair, Chair, Social Media, Partnershipsetc.
We're holding an online meeting where you can find out more about the Association, meet existing members, and ask any questions you may have. Next MeetingDate: Thursday 11 June 2026 Join the meeting:
Please note that the meeting link will only be active during the scheduled meeting time.
If you have any questions, simply reply to this email and we'll be happy to help.
Thank you for your continued support of Neighbourhood Watch. We hope you'll consider joining us as we build a stronger, more active Association for West Mercia.
Warm regards,
Cheryl
