THEFTS FROM 'UTILITY' PREMISES & VEHICLES (GAS, WATER, ELECTRICTY, INTERNET) 

Dorset Police Rural; Crime Team has received an increase in reported thefts from what we used to call “ the Gas/Water/ Electricty Boards” - as well the Internet Providers currently installing new IT in several rural locations. 

The thefts occur from both fixed premises and also mobile or temporary works.   Many of these locations are in isolated rural areas and not overlooked or with poor CCTV coverage. 

Your help is very much appreciated in helping us tackle these often very expensive equipment or fuel thefts.   Its also common for significant damage to be caused in gaining access.    We all end up paying the costs of these thefts as they can lead to possible higher charges.  In some cases it can lead to temporary loss of essential services. 

So please be aware of these sites in your local rural area and if you see ANYTHING suspicious please report it . If its happening as you pass then please consider '999.  Vehicle reg Numbers are very much sought. You may have recorded a vehicle on your dash-cam whilst passing?
