Man jailed for drug offence- Fakenham |

|
A man has been jailed for possession of class A drugs in Fakenham. Juljan Mexhaj, aged 20, of Oak Street, appeared at Norwich Crown Court on 2 June 2026 charged with possession with intent to supply, following an incident on March 2026. On 18 March, officers witnessed Mexhaj acting suspiciously in Fakenham Churchyard, and as one of the officers approached and started up a conversation he proceeded to run from the scene. Officers engaged him in a short foot pursuit, and he was detained on Church Lanes. During a search, officers found a cigarette box within his jacket that containing multiple white powder wraps, later counted as 29 bags of cocaine. Mexhaj was arrested taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre, where he was interviewed and later charged. On Tuesday 2 June 2026, Mexhaj was sentenced to 21 months imprisonment, and will be subject to deportation once the sentence has been served. He has also been ordered to pay fees of £298. | ||
