Dear Neighbourhood Watch member across the Milton Keynes district. 

We’re on the Buses!

Our adverts for Neighbourhood Watch are appearing on 10 buses for 4 weeks. Do look out for them. This initiative is possible through funding support from the Thames Valley Police & Crime Commissioner via the Thames Valley Neighbourhood Watch Association. 

Why are we doing this?

We are keen to build our visibility! The Police tell us that crime is 20% lower in Neighbourhood Watch areas. Having a Watch scheme visible is a key deterrent. We have something like 240 registered Watch schemes across the district. You can go to www.ourwatch.org.uk and do the postcode search under the tab Find your local NW and join your local one, if you have not done so already.

To help boost visibility we have new street-signs, branded stickers and membership leaflets. All free. We need that across our communities.

Leading a Watch scheme is not a lot of work nowadays, as it is mostly online BUT it can make a big difference. We have expert volunteers here to help.
