Operation on Winston Way ILFORD

A multi-agency operation took place on Winston Way, Ilford, involving officers from local Safer Neighbourhood Teams alongside partners from Immigration Enforcement, TfL Taxi & Private Hire, the local council waste team, and VRES.

A 300-metre static stop site was established to proactively target road-related offences, vehicle compliance issues, and wider criminality.

During the operation, partners worked collaboratively to ensure a visible enforcement presence, engage with drivers, and disrupt unlawful activity.

Results:

🚗 Vehicles stopped: 263

🧾 Traffic offence reports issued: 31

🚫 Vehicles seized: 16

👤 Arrests made: 6 - 5 X IMMIGRATION - 1X FTP drug wipe/ESD, possession of cannabis and possession of a point and bladed article.

📄 Immigration checks / outcomes: 41 check, 5 arrests/processed

🚖 TfL Taxi & PHV actions: 115 vehicles checked - 17 noncompliance

🗑️ Waste / environmental enforcement: 2
