Appeal for witnesses launched following assault of woman in Arboretum Park |

We are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted by a man at Arboretum Park in Normanton. A man aged in his 20s approached the 28-year-old woman and pulled her to the ground before hitting her. The victim was left with injuries to her face and hands. The incident happened near to the exit/entrance of Rose Hill Street on Wednesday 27 May between 10.30am and 10.49am. Officers have made extensive enquiries into the incident and we are now appealing for the public’s help. There were a lot of people in the park attending an Eid event around the time of the incident and we are urging anyone who saw what happened to please come forward.
