Local News - The Busy Two Days

Afternoon everyone.

Thought we would give you an update on our exceedingly busy weekend!

Saturday

PCSOs from St Helier and Merton Park were seconded to Ravensbury ward to wave the Met flag at the London Fire Brigade's open day. The doors opened promptly at 11 and did not stop!! Loads of local residents met and loads of smiling kids in the van. Great day out for local families and plenty of “I've met the Met” stickers given out. (We lost count at 800!)

Sunday

PCSOS from all Morden wards were called upon for the Mitcham carnival! We've just finished and it was really busy too! I have to admit, I'm a bit peopled out now! Give me a few hours in a dark room where I'm not hearing a siren and I'll be happy. It was great to meet local residents, and all the kids were happy and smiling. Great community work.

Maria (St Helier) and Dave (Merton Park) will be away all next week due to them helping out on junior citizens week, speaking to our young adults and school children across the entire borough!

*We did not arrest a womble. Although he was wombling around.
