We want everyone to be able to contact us safely and effectively, including people with disabilities. 

Here are some of the ways you can contact North Yorkshire Police:

💻 Online reporting

For non-emergencies, you can report incidents or get advice online – your report goes straight to our control room.
Simply visit the North Yorkshire Police website.

☎️ Non-emergency: 101

If you need to contact us but it’s not urgent, call 101.

If you have a hearing or speech impairment, you can use our textphone service on 18001 101.

🚨 Emergency: 999

In an emergency, always call 999.

 Alternative accessible options

• emergencySMS  – textphone 18000 or text us on 999 (Pre-registration required – search “emergencySMS” to sign up)

• 999 BSL video relay service for British Sign Language users (Search “999 BSL” to access this service)

🌍 If you don't speak English

We can still help using a translator. When you call 999 or 101, tell us your language or say the name of your country.
We’ll connect you to an interpreter who will translate your conversation
