Officers from the Beddington Team have recovered a large amount of Nitrous Oxide canisters, also known as laughing gas. These canisters had been dumped on a green area near Claydon Drive and have been removed for safe disposal.
Nitrous Oxide is classified as drug under the legislation for the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. This is because of the long term health issues it can cause such as nerve damage which can affect motor control, coordination and spinal cord damage.
It is dangerous to inhale but also the incorrect disposal of the canister also can cause damage to the environment. | ||
