Your Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) Scheme and membership |

|
Hello David, Great meeting you today at the Shenley Church End event during Milton Keynes Neighbourhood Watch Week 2026. Here is the email to forward to your scheme members:
Hello all, Your NHW Coordinator, David Ray, would like to step down and pass on membership and your scheme to a new person. Milton Keynes Neighbourhood Watch Association (MKNHWA) would like to thank David for his years of volunteering.
I am writing to you, as David has agreed to forward on this email. The operation of NHW membership and schemes has changed. Membership details are now held centrally by the national charity and messaging comes direct from the national Neighbourhood Watch Network and other providers like Thames Valley Police. Coordinators can also use the same Neighbourhood Alert messaging system to send messages solely to their scheme. This is all done by email.
For your NHW scheme and membership to continue, you will need to sign up to the national NHW charity and join the 'Oakhill & Tattershall Close MK5' scheme. It's free and can be done by visiting the national website: ourwatch.org.uk and follow the on screen prompts. Amendments to the map will happen later.
Whilst you are doing this, can you consider if you would like to be the new Coordinator? It takes little time, as now messaging goes directly to signed-up members of Neighbourhood Watch. More information about being a Coordinator can be found at: https://www.mknhwa.org.uk/resources.html and view the Cooridnator Guide. Once someone has taken on the role of Coordinator, MKNHWA will come and help you set-up the scheme fully.
Thanks for your time.
