Good morning, from the Coldhurst & Westwood Neighbourhood Policing Team. Knife Crime Update: When you carry a knife, you are risking everything. Prison, being a victim of crime and even ending up in hospital with a serious, or even worse, fatal injury. Help us to keep the streets safe by disposing of your knives anonymously in one of our amnesty bins, with the nearest one being at Oldham Police Station in the waiting room By carrying a knife, not only do you put yourself at risk of a serious or fatal injury, you could face a fine and prison – even if you don’t use it. Knives can be safely and anonymously deposited in amnesty bins across Greater Manchester, please see attachment for Locations !

We can all play a part in addressing knife crime. What you can do: · Report it to police, or anonymously to Crimestoppers or Fearless. · Be vigilant and speak to your children. · Always dial 999 in an emergency.
How to report any information you have on young people with knives: “Fearless” is part of Crimestoppers and it enables young people to pass on information about crime 100% anonymously ! If you know somebody who is carrying a knife, you can pass on information to Fearless without having to give any of your personal information. There’s also lots of help and support available on their website if you're concerned about knife crime. Making the choice to carry a knife could have divesting consequences, including serious or fatal injury, and a criminal record. If you know someone who is carrying a knife but do not want to speak to the police, you can pass on information anonymously to “Fearless”.
