⚠️ Community Safety Notice

We have received reports of a male going door-to-door claiming to represent the Armed Forces. He is allegedly selling items from a black duffel bag, stating that proceeds will support a charity for homeless veterans.

🚨 We believe this may be a scam, and that residents could be asked for money under false pretences.

🔒 How to Stay Safe

Do not give any money to this individual.

Do not open your door if you are unsure who is calling.

Speak through the door, use a spy hole, doorbell camera, or window to identify callers.

Never allow unknown individuals into your home.

If someone claims to have an appointment, always check valid ID before letting them in.

Use trusted, well-known fundraising platforms

If you see suspicious activity, please report it to the police via 101 (or 999 in an emergency).
