|
As part of Neighbourhood Watch Week, we are delighted to launch the inaugural Neighbourhood Watch Network Community Police Awards.
These new awards recognise and celebrate the dedicated neighbourhood police officers who go above and beyond to help communities feel safer, stronger and more connected.
We are grateful to VISAV, the company behind the Neighbourhood Alert system, for sponsoring these awards and helping us recognise the outstanding contribution that neighbourhood police officers make to communities across the country.
Supporting the awards, Sarah Jones MP, Minister for Policing and Crime, said: "Local policing is the bedrock of public trust. Through the Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee this Government has committed to ensuring every community has visible, accessible neighbourhood officers they can rely on. I am proud to support the inaugural Neighbourhood Watch Network Community Police Awards, which shine an important light on those working closely with residents to build trust, reduce fear of crime and strengthen community confidence."
