Community Walk and Litter Picking Event with EMH : Fri 05 Jun 11:00

I wanted to let you know about a community walk and litter-picking event EMH are organising in Kirk Hallam on Friday 5th June, from 11am–2pm, and to see if you’d like to be involved.

Overview of the event

The aim is to bring residents together, improve the local environment, and encourage community engagement in a fun, informal way.

Plan:

11:00am – Residents meet at Kirk Hallam Community Centre to collect litter picking equipment and nature spotting cards

Participants will then head out in small groups across designated streets (e.g. Deepdale Avenue, Kenilworth Drive, St Norbert Drive, etc.) to litter pick and take photos at checkpoints

Around 1:30pm onwards – Participants will begin to make their way to Captain Kirk Fish & Chips, where they’ll be thanked with a free portion of chips for taking part

We’re encouraging flexible involvement and activity, so residents can join for as little or as long as they like.
