CRIME REPORTS IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
Our Response Team and Safer Neighbourhood Team deal with a variety of incidents. Here are a few they dealt with since the last Bulletin.
There were 37 Arrests in the period May 18th 2026 to May 31st 2026 : Domestic Abuse / Violent Domestic Abuse 13 , Violent Crime Other 2 , Theft 3 , Child at Risk 2, Violent Crime Other 1 ,Possession of Knife/Blade in a Public Place 2 , Prescribed Limit offence 2 , Public Order 1 , Drug Related 1 , Violent Crime Public Place 4, Drug Seizure 1, Sexual offence 1, Crime Other 1 Alcohol Related 1, Hate/ Diversity 1, Rape/ Serious Sexual Offence 1, .
Following a single vehicle road traffic collision in Whyteleafe on May 27th the male driver was arrested for failing to provide a specimen of breath, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, no insurance, no MOT and possession of a bladed article.
On May 30th a female was arrested at Mercers Lake for driving whilst unfit to drive and for resisting arrest.

LINGFIELD, DORMANSLAND AND DORMANS
Burglary Business and Community St Piers Lane, Dormansland. Overnight May 28th to 29th the Georgian wire window to the left of the entrance door of a sports hall was smashed and the building was entered but nothing stolen (PR45260063418).
Vehicle Crime Lingfield Common Road, Lingfield β Keyless Theft. Between 09.30 May 30th and 07.00 June 1st a black VW Amarok index D1JLH was stolen from a driveway (PR45260064203).
Gun Pit Road, Lingfield. Between May 29th and June 1st index plates YR17EUX were stolen from a car (PR45260064552).
Newchapel Road, Lingfield β Theft. Between May 19th and June 2nd a brown BMW Series 5 index PJ61BJV was stolen (PR45260065111).
Station Road, Dormans β Criminal Damage. Between May 24th and 27th suspected catapult damage was caused to windows and bodywork of a car (PR45260064836).
GODSTONE
Burglary Residential including Sheds and Garages
Selbourne Square, Godstone. Around 23.00 May 27th five to six masked persons arrived at a property and caused damage by smashing the windscreen of two cars. They also used items such as paving slabs to smash multiple windows and doors of the property and a catapult to damage some of the upper floor windows (PR45260062280).
OXTED
Burglary Residential including Sheds and Garages Bluehouse Lane, Oxted . Between 11.30 May 22nd and 09.05 May 24th a garage was broken into and a concrete mixer and electric bike were stolen (PR45260060742).
Vehicle Crime Westerham Road, Oxted β Theft. Overnight June 1st to 2nd headlights, fog lights and a large part of the engine were removed from a car that had been left on a fire station forecourt (PR45260064848).
CATERHAM, CATERHAM ON THE HILL AND WHYTELEAFE
Burglary Residential including Sheds and Garages Burntwood Lane, Caterham On The Hill. Between 08.30 and 16.30 May 28th a glass door at the rear of a house was smashed and an untidy search then took place. Amongst items stolen were a two pairs of golden earrings, a black Bose sound bar, earphones, Ray Ban sunglasses and a gift voucher (PR45260062645).
Vehicle Crime Salmons Lane, Whyteleafe β Theft. Between 13.35 and 13.45 May 27th an IPhone 13, wallet and headphones were stolen from a car. The rear passenger door had been left unlocked (PR45260062230).
Harestone Valley Road, Caterham. Sometime between May 27th and 28th an attempt was made to break into a car and a pick tool was left jammed in a steering lock (PR45260063517).
Stafford Road, Caterham β Keyless theft. Between 06.30 and 10.45 May 31st a white Vauxhall Corsa index BJ75WZE was stolen (PR45260064031).
WARLINGHAM
Vehicle Crime Landscape Road, Warlingham β Attempt Theft. Around 14.06 May 27th a male driving a grey VW Golf on cloned index plates was spotted attempting to steal items from a van but drove off when shouted at (PR45260062229).
Searchwood Road, Warlingham β Theft. Between 06.30 and 15.40 May 27th index plates LJ60XPA were stolen from a car (PR45260062476).
Farleigh Common, Warlingham. Around 17.30 May 29th a male ran onto a golf course and threatened the occupants of a golf buggy with a bottle before driving it away. Golf clubs on the buggy were discarded and ran over breaking them. The suspect was described as white, skinny build, local accent, and dark hair shorter on the sides and wearing a white T shirt and dark shorts (PR45260062815).
