Elmdon Update 26/5/26 - 3/6/26 |
||
|
Good Morning Elmdon Residents,
This is your set update for between 26/5/26 - 3/6/26.
In regards to offences, we had one residential burglary on 29/6/26 on EDEN ROAD with a suspect forcing entry to the rear of the property during daylight hours. Officers quickly attended and whilst unfortunately a number of them were assaulted, the suspect was arrested and conveyed to custody. The process is now ongoing to charge the suspect. A very good and quick response to those involved. Thank you to the members of the local community who spotted this male and without them, we may not have caught him! As always, please call us on 999/101 to report any suspicious activity - we can then analyse these reports to put the best measures in place whether that be sending officers on blue lights and sirens, or ourselves seeing you during an appointment time and submitting intelligence to build a larger picture and process that accordingly.
Good News! On our first shift this set we assisted with detaining and arresting a brazen daytime burglar who had targeted a residential property on Eden Road. Officers from five different teams ended up involved in carrying out the initial investigation and arresting the suspect. The investigation is still underway. We also worked alongside Fire and Ambulance Services involving a three car RTC in LYNDON. All people involved were checked over and cars recovered. Thankfully no serious injuries.
The team spent the weekend heavily involved for a vulnerable and high-risk missing person who was at significant risk of coming to harm if they were not found. Extensive searches and door to door enquires were undertaken all over Solihull trying to locate this person. We were able to breathe a sigh of relief however when the missing person was located safe and well due to the tireless efforts of all the officers involved around 24 hours later. The person is now safely back home with family.
Our team assisted our Firearms colleagues in arresting three males for the possession of bladed articles in the Solihull area following a tip off from a member of the public. Three suspects in cuffs and weapons off the street. None of what we do would be possible without the help you provide us day to day.
The team arrested a wanted thief who was known to target local businesses and was wanted by the Courts for failing to appear. Due to a great spot, the female is now behind bars and retail crime in the area has been positively impacted.
Enjoy your weekend and I will update you again next week,
Dan
