CRIME update for May 2026

Dear Resident

Here is an update regarding Burglaries, Vehicle Crime and Criminal damage which occurred in the New Lenton Police beat area during the month of May. 

Burglaries residential = 0

Criminal damage = 4

04/05 Church Street – Between 10am and 11:30am, gate been damaged.

06/05 Harrington Drive – Damage to vehicle caused by suspect hitting vehicle with bricks.

08/05 Derby Road – Known suspect has thrown brick causing damage to shop window

08/05 Derby Road – Known suspect has thrown brick causing damage to vehicle.

Theft of motor vehicle = 1

Between 07/05 and 08/05 Rolleston Drive – Vehicle reported stolen.

Theft from vehicle = 5

Between 02/05 and 03/05 Harlaxton Drive – Pair of Apple air pods stolen.

04/05 Harlaxton Drive – 2x set of golf clubs in their bags stolen.

04/05 Harlaxton Drive – Echo auto and phone charger stolen.

08/05 Prospect Place – Blue ice climbing rucksack containing climbing shoes, chalk bag, climbing harness and a silver nomination bracelet stolen.

18/05 Welby Avenue – Vehicle entered and ransacked, items taken, incident captured on CCTV.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU LOCK ALL YOUR DOORS AND WINDOWS, ENSURE YOU REMOVE ALL VALUABLE ITEMS FROM VISIBLE VIEW
