Met Engage

Dear Residents

Yesterday on 1st June at 2pm I had a meeting with Puja ShivRV who is a member of Events 2 Empower who are a Barking based community Interest company based in Barking Library who are dedicated to uplifting women, supporting small businesses, and strengthening communities through cultural, wellbeing and health awareness events every Wednesday including Ladies only Zumba and kids dance classes and crafts. She aims to work together with the Metropolitan Police to build rapport an to show the public that we are easily approachable and aren't afraid to raise any issues. We offer a platform called Met Engage where people can sign up to their local Safer Neighbourhood Teams and report any low level crime or issues they may be facing.

We hope to continue to work with Events 2 Empower and have more fun events in the future and to show the public we are always there for them
