Humberston & New Waltham Crime Data: May 2026

Dear residents, please find crime data update for May 2026- I want to share and celebrate that last month across the wards saw a slight seasonal decrease in crime but still remains low in the area which could not of been achieved without all the work of you the community, our partners and the local policing team do on a daily basis. 

Crime Headlines:
There were forty-six reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Wards for May 2026 although much of the demand has been in our other Ward Haverstoe this month which has resulted in additional patrols from your local team and other resources in the affected areas. 

On 2nd May 2026, there was a police deployment at an address on HEATHLAND WAY, HUMBERSTON following a report of a disturbance. The suspect left the address prior to police attendance. 

On 11th May 2026, a suspect who was also a reported missing person was arrested at a caravan park on ANTHONY’S BANK ROAD, HUMBERSTON for several offences by police following information received. 

On 13th May 2026, two suspects caused damage and entered inside a public house on STATION ROAD, NEW WALTHAM before making off with money and items. There were a few other linked outbuilding burglaries in NEW WALTHAM at nearby properties on CHARLES AVENUE/FARMHOUSE MEWS. Both suspects have since been arrested and charged by police. 

Our priorities moving forward in May/June 2026 period will be focusing on Anti-Social Behaviour and Community related issues.  

Crime:                                                                                                                       
Eleven reports of low-level assaults.                                                                                                                           
Three reports of Harassment.                                                                                                        
Six reports Criminal Damage. 
One vehicle related offence. 
Eight reported shop thefts from Tesco / Co-Op / Spar in New Waltham & Humberston.
Eight reports of Burglary (mainly occurring from 1 series on 1 evening)      

ASB:
There have been seven reports of ASB incidents across both villages:
One reports of illegal offroad motorbikes on PAVILLION, NEW WALTHAM
Two reports of environmental ASB on GRIMSBY ROAD & HOLME AVENUE
Four reports of youth related ASB in NEW WALTHAM/HUMBERSTON.

Team News/Updates:
Following the update provided in April there has been no further changes to the team whilst can be seen listed below.

Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the area in which we all live and work. We encourage all residents to call and report any issues where they live so that we can deal with any issues and step up our patrols in the area. The number to call for non-emergency issues is 101.
