I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team has been actively addressing Violence Against Women and Girls within the ward through a combination of preventative and enforcement activity. This has included increased patrols in identified hotspot areas to provide reassurance and deter offending, alongside ongoing community engagement to raise awareness and support residents.
As part of our enforcement work, officers have arrested a wanted individual in connection with sexual offences, who has since been progressed through the criminal justice system. In addition, a premises suspected of being used for the purposes of prostitution has been identified, and officers are currently working with partner agencies to consider appropriate enforcement action.
The team remains committed to tackling VAWG, safeguarding vulnerable individuals, and working collaboratively to ensure the community remains a safe place for all.
