Dear Resident, Here is our weekly update from the Northfield Neighbourhood team. Our Priorities - Retail Crime & High Street Safety: Addressing shoplifting and antisocial behaviour on Northfield High Street through partnership with the Northfield Business Improvement District (BID)
- Targeting Drug Offences: Increasing patrols to address reports of drug use and dealing, with Operation Wayfarer focusing on disrupting these issues.
- Begging and Street Population: Addressing issues around street begging, drug use and anti social behaviour in public spaces.
- Crime Prevention & Youth Intervention: Focussing on reducing shop theft, providing early intervention and tackling organised crime in the Birmingham area
What’s been happening? - Operation Advance- High Visibility patrols were conducted through Northfield Highstreet with Multiple PCs and PCSOs to help tackle shoplifting, ASB and Begging
- Officers have been patrolling with the newly issued electric pedal-cycles
Good News Speed-watch will be coming to Northfield ward soon in attempts to tackle speeding in the area.
