Summer has arrived, help prevent your property becoming a target for burglars

As the summer has arrived and the days are becoming warmer, please ensure your windows and doors are secure when you leave your homes and during the night, to help prevent your property becoming a target for burglars, 

If you are going away on holiday, please ensure your homes are secure, all doors and windows are locked, alarms are set, and any CCTV systems are working correctly. It may also be a good idea to ask a neighbour or family member to keep an eye on your property while you are away.

There have been a few opportunistic thefts from motor vehicles reported across the borough, please ensure your car doors and windows are locked before leaving your vehicle unattended.
