DEER SAFETY ADVICE

#DeerSafety | We have received reports of an aggressive deer in the #NortonCanes area. 

The behaviour appears to be linked to the deer protecting its territory, which is common at certain times of year. To keep both residents and pets safe, we are issuing the following advice:

🦌 If you see a deer, keep your distance and do not approach it.

🦌 Keep dogs on a lead, even if your dog has excellent recall, a deer may still perceive it as a threat.

🦌 Avoid the area if you know deer are present, especially during early morning or evening when they are most active.

Our priority is ensuring the safety of the community while allowing local wildlife to remain undisturbed.
