DRINK DRIVER ARRESTED FOLLOWING NON-STOP COLLISION

On 27/05/26 at around 18:40 we were called to the A5 bypass following a report of a non-stop road traffic collision involving a red Ford C-Max.

Officers completed an area search and located the C-Max stuck in traffic on Marlborough Way. A roadside breath test was conducted wherein the driver blew roughly four times the prescribed limit.

The 61-year-old male driver, from Glascote, was arrested for drink driving. 

He has since been released on bail and is due in court next month.
