Sheppey East - Police Activity - Bank Holiday Weekend

Good afternoon

Over the recent bank holiday weekend, numerous officers were on duty patrolling Sheppey East during which they dealt with a number of incidents. Some of the highlights being:

An E-scooter was seized on Leysdown Road, Leysdown.

Officers attended 4 separate emergency calls relating to disturbances across Sheppey East. These resulted in 4 separate people being arrested for assault/threats. One of these people was also wanted in relation to a shoplifting offence so this was also dealt with.

Officers on patrol noticed a male smoking cannabis joint, they conducted a stop search and seized the cannabis joint along with a small bag of cannabis. Due to having little/no police history, the male received a community resolution.

Whilst I am aware that there are other ongoing issues in the area, hopefully the above shows that officers are out on the streets both responding to calls and also being proactive.
