Property Closure Order - Swanscombe

On Wednesday 27th May 2026, your Swanscombe Beat officers attended Maidstone Magistrates court for a hearing of a closure order on a property on KEARY ROAD, SWANSCOMBE following a large amount of reports of anti-social behaviour from residents on the street.

A closure order is a legal tool that falls under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. This allows police and local authorities to restrict access to premises associated with serious anti-social behaviour, disorder, or criminal activity for an initial three month period in order to protect the public and allow for respite from the disruption. These orders can be extended by a magistrate upon an extension application made by the police if reasonable, necessary and proportionate. 

This is the third successful closure order that Dartford Community Safety Unit have completed within the last 7 months throughout Dartford, and this will not be the last. The message is clear, we will not tolerate any Anti-social behaviour in Dartford. You risk losing everything if you you think you can get away with it. 

The address was closed and secured on Thursday 28th May 2026 at 0900 hours.
