STAY SAFE NEAR WATER

With the current hot weather affecting the UK, it can be especially tempting to cool off in lakes and rivers across London. However, despite the warm air temperatures, water can remain very cold and may contain hidden hazards beneath the surface.

Each year, emergency services respond to a number of tragic incidents in inland waterways, some of which result in loss of life. Please help keep yourself and your children safe by avoiding open water swimming unless lifeguards are present.
